Paver’s come in all sizes shapes and colours. They are typically used around the home to aid in pedestrian access and increase the aesthetic appearance. They are seen in driveways, paths, stairs, patio areas and undercover outdoor areas. When paving some variables need to be taken into consideration such as slope and drainage lines to allow water run-off.

There are a few different types of pavers available such as;

Clay pavers – soundly made for strength, durability and flexibility and are available in all sizes and colours for any outdoor area. Common for driveways, outdoor areas such as patios and pools.

 

Concrete pavers – strong durable, long lasting, easy installation, range of colours and patterns. Cheapest surface to create. Most commonly used in curbing such as garden bordering.

Natural Stone – Can be one of the most aesthetically pleasing paving products around. They give a warm and natural feel in the landscape and in my opinion if you want the best then natural stone is the way. They do generally cost more than a man made product and have higher preparation and maintenance but the finished product speaks for its self. The overall result looks far superior to other materials. Such stone includes.

• Cobble stone
• Granite
• Limestone
• Quartzite
• Sandstone

This particular job we re used the existing sandstone. It was pulled up and re leveled.

Brick – Bricks come in different colours, patterns, shapes and textures. We will design and build to your specific requirements. They stand the test of time and are very durable. If pavers become disturbed they may be relayed and can also be reused.

At Elite Scapes we also include stepping-stones and stair casing designed to your personal requirements. We create all shapes and sizes in any area of your garden. We provide all materials at request and we will even cut to size.

Stencil crete- Another way to effectively pave a path, driveway or area is to use stencil crete. It comes in a wide variety of colours and shapes but it is a very durable product that is quite cost affective. We have completed many of these projects especially on driveways where wear and tear become a problem. Stencil crete is perfect for this situation and in most cases can look very much like slates and natural stones.
