Hedge Trimming and topiary

A well trimmed yard is a neat looking yard. Is your garden in need of a good trim. We have been trimming hedged for years and most people agree that a well groomed hedge really makes a yard look special.

There is more than one reason to prune trim and shape your trees and hedges. One of them is to force the plant into a certain shape but there is more to it than that. Regular pruning creates a thicker and more dense bush and it is always a good idea to prune things as soon as they are planted and regularly throughout their lifetime. A lot of people think that if you plant a hedge you should let it grow to the height that you want and then prune it and this is incorrect. The best way to achieve a thick dense hedge or bush is to prune it from a young age and tip prune,  tip prune. You will end up with a much nicer hedge.

Topiary is similar to hedge trimming but it is more intricate.  The use of shapes is incorporated and quite often you will see topiary work in the shape of animals etc. We have experience with topiary work the most common being in pet plants.
